Millions of people were interested in the legendary director Mani Ratnam's dream picture "Ponniyin Selvan 1," which went on to become a classic smash in Tamil cinema.

 The film's production team revealed in January that the sequel will hit theatres everywhere on April 28. 


There have been new rumours that "Ponniyin Selvan 2" has been postponed from its April release date indefinitely.

The new sneak peek video was released by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies with the caption, "A brief insight into all the joy the team had while producing #PS1 and #PS2! #PS2 in theatres globally starting April 28." (sic). A 60-second clip with the lead actors Karthi, Chiyaan Vikram, and Jayam Ravi discussing the grandeur of the epic historical fiction play served as the sneak peek.


In the ad, actor Jayaram was also seen talking about the thrilling events that will be shown in PS-2. At the conclusion of the clip, the release date was once more confirmed as April 28. Also, according to our sources, the audio and trailer debut of the movie will take place on March 29 or April 5 in Chennai. The cast, crew, and a number of prominent personalities will attend.



Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Shobita Dhulipala, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Sarathkumar, Parthiban, Ashwin, and many others appear in the AR Rahman-composed PS-2. Set in the 10th century, the plot centres on the Chola dynasty's internal civil war for the throne and the Pandyas' plot to exact revenge on the Cholas.
