The spy thriller Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, has maintained a strong box office performance since its January 25, 2023, premiere. The Siddharth Anand-directed film is now the fifth Indian film to gross more than Rs. 1000 crore globally. In a post that stated, "First Hindi film to surpass Rs. 1000 crore worldwide barrier during phase 1 of release," YRF published information confirming the same.


Pathaan, the fourth film in YRF's spy series, also prominently features Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in addition to Khan. According to Firstpost, the spy thriller broke numerous box office records after earning Rs 55 crore on its opening day in the domestic circuit. 1. Pathaan



Pathaan, one of the most anticipated movies of 2023, has attained a new milestone after it was released earlier this year in more than 100 nations. The Shah Rukh Khan-starring film is now the fifth Indian film to gross more than $1 billion globally. The spy thriller, which was directed by Siddharth Anand, also prominently includes Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. Pathaan, which had a $250 million budget, debuted on almost 5500 domestic and 2500 foreign theatres.

In 2022, Kannada sensation Yash and Prashanth Neel, a popular actor-director team, reunited for the follow-up to their action-packed franchise KGF. KGF: Chapter 2, which had a budget of Rs 100 crore, became one of the highest-grossing films of 2022, earning a staggering Rs 1228 crore, according to Indian Express. The action movie also starred Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, Prakash Raj, and Raveena Tandon in addition to Yash.

4. Bahubali 2  : The Conclusion




Filmmaker SS Rajamouli, known for creating movies that are larger than life, left reviewers and movie lovers in awe with his Baahubali series. The second installment, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which was released in 2017, broke several records as it soared at the box office. The first installment had become one of the highest-grossing films of 2015, and it had been one of the most popular franchises. Economic Times reports that the worldwide gross for Baahubali 2: The Conclusion was Rs. 1810 crore. Prabhas and Rana Daggubati were the stars of the sweeping action series.

Last film to feature Aamir Khan Even though Laal Singh Chaddha, 57, had difficulty succeeding at the box office, he is the hero of the Indian film with the biggest worldwide earnings. Dangal, a biographical sports drama directed by Nitesh Tiwari, depicts the story of former wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and his daughters, Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari, who represented their nation at the Commonwealth Games by taking home gold medals in the sport of wrestling. Dangal, according to the Economic Times, made Rs. 2000 crore worldwide, but it did so over the course of two rounds of release.
