T.P. Gajendran, a well-known actor and director in Tamil cinema, passed away earlier today after experiencing health problems. He was 68. He had reportedly been receiving care at a hospital and had just lately returned home. 


Gajendran has directed more than 16 movies during the course of his more than two-decade filmmaking career. He is well known for directing comedies like Budget Padmanabhan and Middle Class Madhavan, which humorously highlighted the struggles of the middle class. His other well-known pieces are Enga Ooru Kavalkaran, Paandi Nattu Thangam, and Cheena Thaana 001.

His first movie, Veedu Manaivi Makkal, was released in 1988 and starring Visu, KR Vijaya, Pandiyan, and Seetha, among others. His most recent film, Magane En Marumagane, starred Vivekh and was released in 2010. 


Gajendran was an actor who appeared in over 100 movies. He is best known for his comedic roles in movies like Pammal K Sambandam, Pithamagan, Baana Kaathadi, Villu, Chandramukhi, and Perazhagan, among others. He last appeared in Yogi Babu beginning Panni Kutty in 2022.
