Mayilsamy, Tamil actor and comedian passed away



 Mayilsamy, an actor and comedian who over the years had roles in various Tamil movies, passed away on February 19 in Chennai. Age-wise, he was 57. 


The actor began his cinema career in the 1980s and appeared in a variety of modest roles, including those in the Kamal Hassan-starring movies Apoorva Sagodharargal and Michael Madhana Kama Rajan. He quickly started appearing in supporting roles and comedy-related parts of movies. 12 B, Poovellam Unvasam, Parthale Paravasam, Whistle, and Ghilli are among the movies he has directed. With the late actor and comic Vivekh, he gave several of his most memorable comedic performances. 


Also, he frequently participated as a judge on the Sun TV programme Asathapovadhu Yaaru.


On Twitter, actor Vikram, who costarred with Mayilsamy in movies like Dhill and Dhool, sent his condolences. Dear Mayil, we shall always remember your sweet, humorous ways.


In a tweet, sound designer Resul Pookutty expressed astonishment upon learning of his passing and expressed his desire for him to play a part in his upcoming film, Otta. Due to his health issues, he was unable to travel and arrange dates. I miss him so much," he write in a tweet. 


Actor Sarath Kumar also offered his sympathies, stating that he was grieved and dismayed to learn of his close friend, actor and philanthropist Mayilsamy's, untimely passing. 


In a tweet, actor and Makkal Needhi Maiam President Kamal Haasan stated that comedian Mayilsamy developed a distinct style for himself. He remarked, "He will be remembered for his propensity to help people.


Politicians and members of the film community expressed their condolences for actor Mayilsamy. 


M.K. Stalin, the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, recalled his impersonation abilities and claimed that because to the television programme Comedy Time, he had become well-known and adored by the general population. Also, he claimed that Mayilsamy was a skilled debater and successful orator on talk shows. 

"Kalaignar Karunanidhi had praised Mayilsamy for his ralent. In the entertainment business, he had established himself," he remarked.


Lok Sabha Member Su. Thirunavukkarasar, Tamil Maanila Congress President G.K. Vasan, Patali Makkal Katchi President Anbumani Ramadoss, and T.T.V. Dinakaran General Secretary Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam all sent their condolences.


Nassar, the president of Nadigar Sangam, and Karthi, the treasurer, paid respects at the actor's home. Actors Siddharth, Kovai Sarala, Parthiban, and Dhamu were among those who paid respect at his home, along with Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Development Udhayanidhi Stalin.
